Decision Points by George W. BushI know. It is not cool to actually like or respect George W. Bush.
But I do.
I'm not saying I agree with every decision he made as President, and I'm not saying I think he's the best President in history, but I think that on the whole, America has treated him with complete disrespect. And I just genuinely like the guy. His candor in this book is totally refreshing.
It also says a lot to me that he in no way badmouths President Obama.
Take note, America. That's how we're supposed to treat our Presidents, whether we agree with them or not.

Agreed, agreed, agreed! I always liked him but felt I should keep that on the down-low with all the bad mouthing. And maybe I'm not the most politically savvy, and like you, I don't agree with every single thing he did but...I still liked him a lot! And Laura. :)
Loved the book and I never read. I just respect his candor so much. Like you said.... don't agree with everything he did, but I think I'd like to hang out with him and Laura on a personal level.
